Hi, I'm new to this forum and I have a delema. I have a WK 4x4 that I haven't used for 8 months. I accidentily left my remote control on the bumper of my friends van and we drove away. when we went back for it, it was in a billion pieces. So I found out the hard way that a direct replacement remote is not possable to obtain. So I heard of people using a Traxxis remote and reciver as an alternative, so I bought one, installed it and my truck still does not work. There is a LED light on the speed controler that when turned on should flash for a few seconds then BEEP and remain lit. Mine does not do that, it just continues to flash. So my question is: What the "F" do I do now??? |

Check the wire from the ESC and servo maybe you have them in backwards and check that the radio and receiver are on the same channel and are the right ones for that radio. if that doesn't work post a picture and maybe someone will see what is wrong. Good luck |

you might have to reprogram your ESC since you hooked new radio gear to it.

Make sure the crystals are the same. Blue to blue, Brown to Brown, etc.

Worst case scenario...you could buy a Traxxas XL-5 speed control. Im running full Traxxas gear (including waterproof servo) in my Wheely King. In fact, with a little velcro and a 3" J extenstion from Tower, I made my XL-5 and waterproof radio box swappable from my Stampede to my Wheely King. This way I can use the same transmitter for both. Literally, all I do is unplug the one servo wire and 2 motor wires, pull the antenna tube from the holder and plug it all into whichever truck I want to run. Takes me about 1-1/2 minutes with removal and installation of bodies included. I plan on setting up my SCX10 the same way whenever I can afford to buy it in the spring.

Make sure you have the endpoint centered . . turn the truck and the remote on and then slowly turn the throttle trim on your remote. . it will propably find neutral and arm for you |

+1 on the end point. Watch the light on the speed control when you are turning the throttle adjustment. It should arm when you hit the right spot "0"

| I tried the throttle trim adjustment idea with no result. I also tried a simalar "dial in" method using the throttle trigger and that did not work either. I don't want to have to buy a new ESC if I don't have to. Checked the wiring again and its all run correctly. I'll try to get some pictures up, maybe someone here can see something I can't. |

I had a problem similar to that and just pulled out all of the plugs that go into the RX one by one and turned them around 180 degrees and everything worked fine. I read where you said it was wired correctly but did not know if you checked this.

There are two small swichtes that control that and the steering flip the switch the other way for the trottle and you will be golden. |
