Arrow WK Nissan Titan

Hopefully I'll get an idea of what this is gonna look like tonight. Here's the parts list so far:

Integy chassis (needs purple stripped off)
RC4WD extension (wb 13.25")
stock Saturn 27t
Traxxas TQ3
XL-5 waterproof esc
2075 waterproof servo
micro reciever mounted in waterproof box
Nissan Titan body (parma)
Pro-line flat irons 2.2
Axial 2.2 rockster beadlocks (black chrome)

I'm planning on painting the body white with black bed cover/accents and then painting the grill area and bumpers silver. Hopefully it'll all turn out the way it looks in my head

Now all you have to do, is lower the body about an inch and build up a new scale-ish chassis and probably either flip the tranny or use some other tranny.

Question

What all can I do to lower the body? It will come down some when I cut the mount holes in the body. The body mounts are as low as I can get them without cutting things apart.

scale chassis/tranny...that stuff can wait 'till the current setup breaks, lol.

ou-f@&kin-standing, brianw. the only thing i can think of to lower the body(and give a scale-like appearance) would be to cut the mount posts off and fab a mount that sits on top of them to secure the body with a healthy strip of velcro......but not too healthy.

Doesnt seem you can lower the body anymore, which I dont see as a problem - maybe its a visual thing. How about making some rock sliders for the side to hide the TVP chassis a bit?

I'm thinking that I may try to use the Skala V2 template from Offroader5's website (thanks!) and make this a little more scale looking. All I've done in these pics is print the template, cut it out, and taped it to the inside of the body to try and figure out what length I'm going to need. The body is 20" L x 7" W x 5.25" H with a wheelbase of 13.5". What do you think so far?

Still have to figure out how I'd mount the WK trans in this thing...the body is tall so I guess worst case I could mount it upright just like it is stock. I would like to find a way to turn it on it's side though.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I don't have a clue what shocks are on it...I bought it used. The only things I've added so far is the Titan body and the wheels/tires.

lol, I've already subscribed to both of your threads! There aren't too many WK builds and there are even fewer Nissan Titan builds.

You are right there aren't too many for the W/K builds, but here is a link to my build Wheely king Trail/Scale-ish Rig, I left the tranny in the stock position and it isn't to bad of a setup, Also being I have a Axial Dingo Body I put it as low as I could without sacrificing the Ground Clearance, it would be even easier if I had gone with a truck body I am definitely going to watch this build though. Keep up the good work

Here's my thought process...if I cut my own chassis I could make it as wide or as narrow as I wanted. If I make it wide enough, I could use a Stampede VXL trans which would be much stronger than the WK trans AND have a slipper that doesn't make a ton of noise.

OR I could just turn the WK trans on it's side. WK trans gears are only $12 for a set...I could break 3 before that would outweigh the cost of the Pede trans ($35). BUT I'd have a clicking trans still.

OR I could make a chassis and mount the trans the same way it's mounted stock but that still leaves a high COG and honestly doesn't change much from where it's at now...

stampede option will be the best in the long term and will save you in the long term but of course depends on how it is performing now i would suggest the stampede option hope it goes well what ever you do
