what about using a bearing with a smaller I.D. so it matches the cvd and the same O.D. as the axle housing?

you could do that but they won't be as strong.

Talking WK CVD's

Does anyone have another CVD set for the Wheely king?
I read that the integy's are weak, but right now it's the only option I have.
I have the crawler king with the rover body, I installed the reduction gear, move the steering to the axle, and tream the body. I'm waiting for the rear lockouts, to take out the c and steering knucles.

They are all gone
Your best bet is to make them from LST2 CVD's but then you also need the LST hubs

So your problem is that you can no longer buy quality CVD's? I may be noob, but you guys r missing the bigger picture. The point is to have a crawler in the form of a wheelyking. Is there any reason to keep the wheelyking axles on there? Would another axle such as a AX-10 axle not work? Sure, its more expensive to bullet proof than buy new CVD's but in the ong run, it means you can get new parts and SAVE MONEY. Just my 2 cents - i am now rather upset because i was going to get a Wheely King as a mudtruck.

If you take the wk axles off and replace the chassis, then whats left?

A lot of people like the wk axles. I do....

Its not just for crawlers, but bashers and stockers.

I use wk axles on my truggy as well.

Wheely king axles on my scaler here.

And I like them. Turning radius sucks, but I havent broken a damn thing inside the axle since day one. And if we give up on the wheely king, no one will ever build anything for it. It will just die off. Axial already dominates this class, but if we allow to run a monopoly, then this hobby might become even less affordable.

HPI still makes parts for the truck, hell they still make the truck. I would buy the axles for a mud truck, and just use stock replacements, or Blitz CVD's. Its not hard to work around the fact that no one makes a WK specific CVD. Many ppl make things work, and they do fine

I'm using the WK axles on my 1/6th scale Willys Jeep because I needed the extra track width. I admit that I would have preferred to use AX-10 axles because of the availability of stock and aftermarket parts but they were just too narrow for my project.
