Default King of the Farm race truck build

We have been running the "farm comp" for 3 yrs now and this year I decided to add a KoH style race... Sand, mud, hills and of course a nice long rock crawl section.

Specs:
Wk axles
HR straight axles
HR knuckles/C's
DNA Snipers
HB rovers (white)
MiP shafts
Axial trans
HR chromoly locker (for trans)
Sidewinder esc
CC Bec
Traxxas 3500kv motor (I said it was a race)
Cirrus servo
Delrin over 8-32 threaded rod links
Revo Rod ends
Predator chassis
4" traxxas bigbore shocks front
3.5" traxxas bigbore shocks rear

I of course have allot of work left and not much time since the race is June 19. Ill be machining a skid out of 1/4" delrin this weekend hopefully.

The fun part is that I read them like 4 times before I poped up the stupid question.

so I made a little more progress... the delrin skid is made and drilled and I test fit an axial trans. I also installed some 3.5" rear shocks and decided that the fronts need to be the same so I ordered a set from Rcslot.com

my little helper got the trans installed (pulled right out of my sportsman) and was busy putting in the driveshafts when I snapped the pics... You will also notice a couple extra cross mambers have been added to stiffen things up a little more.

I used to produce them... only ever sold a few of them so I packed them away and hadnt pulled one out in a couple yrs. They were custom bent per the customers orders... If you watch the forsale section over the next week, Im going to be liquidating a bunch of my leftover stuff.

Little guy was busy again... he had to be very careful using the bandsaw but I think he did a decent job on the servo mount.

So me and the little guy had an argument on the wheel choice... He liked the bling but I thought the weight would slow us down too much (guess who won)

The shocks came in from RCSLOT.com

we managed to get the steering setup and finalized

Time for the motor to go in...

What width is your skid? I'm trying to decide whether to use a pede or emaxx tranny on mine. Not sure yet

The little guy went crazy with the spray paint can... Side panels are .030 styrene and hood and roof are lexan.

with a comp coming tomorrow and my sportman truck missing its custom skid plate I had to finish this truck a little faster than hoped.

I replaced the traxxas motor with a Tekin 35t. It crawls pretty nice and can pull some small jumps.

I made a cover to cover the electronics

got a little damage

I packed everything in under the cover

hopefully the weather holds and I can really test the truck out

the comp was called due to weather so I went to an indoor location for some crawl testing and.... it worked excelent, much better than my dedicated sportman truck. There was some video shot and hopefully I can get some of it to post.
