Somewhere in the wheely king section there is a thread about modifying pinions to work as transmission gears using a lathe, in that thread they use a mod 1 15t pinion (Correct me if i am wrong) as the top gear. I was wondering if you could just use the mod 1 pinion for the top gear and leave the others plastic. I am tired of the top gear failing, if the mod 1 gear doesn't mess are there any that do without serious modifications? Thanks Nic |

Yes that works, dont need a lathe either as the pinion will fit the shaft as long as its made for a 5mm shaft. No serious modifacation to just replace topshaft to mod1 15t.
