Default 1.9 Mud Beetle Basher

Well after the Jeep Cherokee Body Build....I tried to sell the Rig...No takers. ( I aint givin it away....lol) So I started looking around. I have been really wanting to do a VW Beetle Mud/Basher but all the Beetle bodies were to Narrow...Untill I found this Beauty at Hobbytown. Proline Baja Beetle Long Chassis for E-Revo and Such..DAMN THE WIDTH IS PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for these axles (I think). It actually fits on this chassis also as for the Wheelbase. But I plan to make a tub chassis or something somewhat more scale for skimming the mud. Anyway 1st Pics.....Very pleased

I bought one a year ago at my local hobby town, it is a perfect fit for the WK axles. What are you gonna do for paint?

Uh... Thinking Flatblack on the Outside and Gloss Yellow from the inside. Maybe... but for sure the Majority of the outside is gonna be flatblack

Cant wait to see it painted! I am a big fan of the bug bodies also- Still need to get one for my self! It seems you werent meant to get rid of your truck! Looking forward to see how this transformation comes along!

After seeing your Cherokee I got the itch to set mine up again. I have the same tire and wheel combo but after a quick trip to the park I just dont like the 1.9 tires. Looks neat but so frustrating getting caught up on just about everything! I just built a Venom Creeper so I swaped its tires to the CK. They are 5 inches tall and I think they look pretty cool with the jeep body. Dont mean to take away from your thread just wanted to show you skullking- ps I can never thank you enough for the slipper mod!
Just waiting for the battery then off to see how it does like this!

That would be great but here in Mesa Az mud is really hard to find even for the 1:1 Jeep!! Supposed to rain today so we'll see what I might find tomorrow! Thats the one draw back I found with my stock chassis was the ride height. This widow chassis offers a bit more and I just got an axial trans that will eventually make its way into this rig to help a little more with drive line angles.
So have you painted the body yet? Gotta see it!

Well I went for a run with the New body and fried my old Traxxas 20 Turn Stinger Motor. I have always used those motors for Mudd and bashing. My LHS did not have any but they Did have a 20 turn Dynamite Motor that comes with some New Electrix Rc Stadium Truck Part Number ECX1071 http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=ECX1071
Now with my Mud rigs or just bashing I aint trying to break any speed records. 1st thing I noticed is the Magnet Power or the Natural Drag Brake this motor has. (Its NOT a CRAWLER MOTOR) but it has more Torque than a Traxxas Stinger. And for $17.99 I have found my New Mud Basher Motor. Really glad I found it. Man I am liking the Tamiya Copper might just give it Flat Black Accents....
