| which traxxas shafts are people using to extend the wb?
i just picked up a wk that i'm planning on converting to a foff type rig. i've dug through a lot of threads and people seem to use traxxas maxx driveshafts to extend the wb but all the links for the particular products are dead. i see a number of options when i search on tower but i was hoping someone could give a part number or current active link. thanks for any help. |

I've used the REVO shafts on mine too. They are WAY bigger than the Maxx ones and stronger.

i've been trying to figure out which revo shafts people are talking about as i've seen that mentioned before. you wouldn't happen to have a part number? are you talking about the shafts from the diffs to the wheel hubs or the transmission to the diffs? i need something around 6" long for the front of mine and it doesn't seem like the trans -> diff shafts would be long enough. | |

You need the shafts for the axles 5451X... the trans ones are way to short. If RCMT was online right now I'd tell you to check it out. They have an active Wheely King section there that would really help you out. (unfortunately they have some issues at the moment) I'm not sure of the yoke sizes off the top of my head though.

here are a few pics of my wk at it's starting point. picked it up cheap from a member of rcc. i'm looking forward to getting this up and running. as i mentioned it came with a set of what looks like revo transmission shafts. they are obviously too short so i hope a set of revo drive axles will do the trick. |

That's right... you have the wrong ones there. Grab some Axle ones and you should be good to go. You could even pick these up... http://cgi.ebay.com/TRA5450-Half-Sha...item3365e7be74 since you have the yokes already.

I used the wheel driveshafts from E-savage HPI #82008 just replace yokes with the stock WK. Have had no roblems with this setup even with the 65T motor, 3s and br-xl esc.
