Set up tips with stock chassis and shock spring question

Any tips on setting up with the stock chassis( shock locations), and what brand springs are you guys using on the stock shocks? I may try to pick some up if I can find some that fit. Need some stiffer ones.

save your money and buy some real shocks.... almost every WK/CK shock I have ever had has leaked and upgrading to something worth a darn will be your best bet in the long run. Search the F/S section and within a few days you'll find a deal worth going for. Other than that, extend the wheelbase and have fun/beat the snot out of it.

if you must, savage springs fit, but are longer, so you have either have increased spring rate or cut them down a bit to fit the WK length

The stock springs are perfect for all around bash/crawling IMO, I put them on new HPI 77-117 shocks and they work great, I run a light vegtable oil to let the spring pop it back up quick, and allow a light feel over rocks (I like the stock location best too, keeps it the lowest and most streached)...

When I had mine on the stock chassis I actually cut a half inch off y springs to lower it witch gave it better cg and gave it the ability to actually drop a axle over a ledge to help it climb better.

I tried shorter shocks, but I like the stock springs on stock length shocks with a light oil in my CK, the high center of gravity keeps it fun.
