Thankyou, I'll see about the vid,my phone dosen't like to do them.
For the body mounts I made brackets out of 1/16" aluminum and used industrial strength velcro.

Front...

Rear...

I did some reasearch and a little math, and came to the conclusion that the proline Jk body is 1/8th scale.
11.8" is 95" wheelbase width and track all work out to within a couple of 1/10s.

Ouch, that sucks, I have been there before. If you buy replacement gears don't buy the aluminum ones. Get the steel gears from RC4WD, my aluminum gears just crapped out on me last week.

The videos look great for a cell phone! I especially like the one through the puddle. Are you just running a brushed 55T?

Thank you again I am on a severe budget as I have been out of work for a while, so I don't think I will be able to purchase rc4wd’s gears. Thinking about using a mod1 pinion gear for the top and replacing the rest when they strip.
And yes that is the crappy 55t brushed motor that comes with the rooster crawler package.

Arggg I am having a bad week.
I put my rooster in my scx10 drove for ten min and pop... smoke and steam.
I went home put the truck on my work bench and opened her up.
The battery wire had melted off the deans. I thiught oh well i'll solder that back up and be on my way again.
That was not to be. I got it soldered up and plugged it in, and there is that funny smell again, like hot eletronics. I touched my speed control and it was blistering hot.
Enter 4 leter words.

Going to get this thing back on the trail. I ordered the mod1 pinion gears at my lhs. Also swaping the rear axle for an axial . I am using the Wk axle for a trophy truck I am building right now.

That mod1 trans mod is a great fix. I haven't had any trans gears issues since I did it. I just started working on mine again. It was down for awhile. Still love my king more than my scx10 and wraith.

It worked out I only paid $17 for the upgrade. I had $5 off cupon. The only one gear that will be plastic is the bottom one, I hope it holds up. From what I have read it should.

thanks rc2008. Got the 15t pinion in and the trans mounted. I have to make some lower links and mount the rear axle now. And figure out a shaft for the 22 t pinion.
