Default Rebuild plasti king.

Started a thread on the 24 th, it seems the site went down yesterday and I lost everything I posted:(

Here is what I started with.

only things I am going to change are the chassis and bumpers. Going to add sliders and tube fenders.

Here is the chassis with the trans mounted and the rear axel mounted.

Front suspension on.

Working on getting this chassis worked out and found a good use for my swiss cheese frame. The wheelbase is exactly 12".

How heavy is this beast so far?

I wish I could go brushless, no work = no new power system. Rooster crawler 55 turn and 8nimh cells.
Dont know the weight but as it sits now it is no heaver than the plastic chassis.

Sweet build, it's like the egg McMuffin of budget builds, "I'm lovin' it!" Keep the pics coming. Your rebuild is inspiring me.

I was thinkin' I'd take a page from your play book and rebuild my crawler chassis with some plastic and go for the scale look. What did you use on yours? I'm thinking tight budget + the WalMart = cutting board.

Your thoughts...

You nailed it walmart cutting board 8x11 I think is only $4 make sure you get the thick one (about 1/4" inch thick). Wood screws held it together.

Ask if you have any questions.
