Default level3 low center of gravity motor mount

i used the low motor mount with my stock style hot racing aluminum tvps by spacing my chassis plates farther apart and four linking the rear end.

does any body have any experiance with the level 3 low center of gravity mount.

the worst thing i found so far was the grinding on the spacers i had to do to make a 96t spur fit

it lowers the motor real low and helped the top heaviness alot

Can you post pics of your 4 link setup? I got in a hurry and ordered this motor mount without reading up on it just to realize i need to 4 link my truck.

I had to notch a section on the tvp. Then add spacers between the transmission and tvp because the mount is wider than the transmission. You have to add some spacers on each side to keep it centered. You have to space the lower links as well. I left the body mounts unspaced. The frame does this () very slightly.

I made a bracket to raise the four link up over the rear steer servo. It also gets the angle up to clear the motor. I used holes my tvp plates for the four link and fabricated the axle mount.

This the best pic i could get of the four link.

I didnt like having the motor facing backward. After the crawler kit turned it but i believe it helped by lowering the c.o.g. and 4 linking the rear stiffend up the flex.

Good mod for a basher /crawler but probably not a straight crawler.

One side note is this mount is not meant for the 96t spur gear but i did get it to fit by changing the motor mount spacer to smaller tubes and grinding the middle of each spacer out with a die grinder. Sorry no picks of that.

Very nicely done! Thats all the WK-CK needs is a lower CG. When I put the R2 trans in mine I also widened the frame slightly in the center. It seemed to stiffen the whole structure.

Yeah they have to be up high to clear the motor. The motor blocks where the factory top links went.

Hello im new here on this forum but i am on another one i bought that mount and the level 3 rc transmission mount to build a custom rig and i thought it worked great the only problem i found was the maxx shafts i used didnt clear the motor mount so i joined the maxx shafts to the stock shaft and put a long grub screw through the center of the sock shaft and made a mount out of pvc to hold the shaft up as if to extend the output for the transmission

but i have since moved on to a traxxas stampede transmission (because blew up the WK one) and i am now messing around with the set up on it
