Default wheel/tyre options for wheely king?

Hi,

I was after some new rims and tyres for my wheely king. It is a high speed basher, i tried modding the factory wheels to be sealed units but they are just to bouncy.

Will Axial SCX 10 rims fit? What other wheel brands fit, and what tyres would be good for a basher?

Also, would 1.9 or 2.2 be better for my 3s brutal brushless setup? I imagine having some smaller rims and tyres would be kinder to the drivetrain?

Virtually any 12mm Hex fit wheel will fit, as long as the offset is not too deep.

...if you want smaller, with a lower inertia, you could give SC wheels a try

Dont forget, you can also get 14mm and 17mm hexes for the WK! ...I've been thinking of 1/8 rallycross wheels/tyres for mine! ;)

As long as you run plastic wheels 2.2's wouldn't be too bad. I used to run Maxx sized(3. wheels on my basher it was a blast.

hmm OK, good to know. I found a good deal on ebay on a set of scx wheels and tyres, used to have an scx 10 but im prob the only guy in the world that actually prefers the wheely king. Would the scx10 rims just be a bolt on or are some adapters required?

They just bolt on unless your hexxes don't have a flat face. They u will have to just take the little nub off the end.

I prefer the wheel king. It was my first rc and I have built many different rigs from it. I have parts laying around to build 2 scx10's but Id rather mess with my wheely.
