Default 300,000 weight in Diff

Will the diff hold 300,000 or 500,000 weight silicone?
I'm not looking to lock the diff(s) as I'm mainly bashing, but still want to kick the ass end around.

I'm sure someone will correct me if im wrong, but I don't think that the diffs on the wheely king are properly sealed/meant to be filled with and/or hold fluid

I'm pretty sure that something as thick as 300k-500k would stay inside the housings just because that range fluid is practically a solid

If you fill the rear diff with it, it will act similar to a fully locked diff (fluid that thick, and given the WKs inherent handling/suspension/weight transfer shortcomings) - so with the truck having darn near zero diff action, the solid axle rear will happily break loose/loose traction/"kick the ass out" for you

If you put that thick goo in the front diff, it will, of course, act very similarly to fully locked as well

However, just like a racer would choose to setup a 4wd vehicle to make the front wheels pull the vehicle out of the corners in a straight line, a really tight front diff will also have the effect of pulling the rear tires along with the fronts…in a nice straight line…and thus minimizing rear wheel spin and minimizing your ability to "kick the ass out"

So, if you want to intentionally tune the truck to have a loose rear end, I'd try the heavy diff fluid in the rear and just go with a quality grease in the front diffs so

This will allow the front diff to transfer the power to the tire with the least grip, therefore causing the front wheels to not be very good at pulling the truck (at least while cornering, but the fronts will still do their job when accelerating in a straight line)

In the meantime, the tight rear diff will dig in with both tires no matter what direction you're going and, because the fronts will have less grip, the rears will do their best to grab and pass the fronts

In other words, the truck should be quite tail happy and be quite willing and able to fulfill your dreams of an ass end that's just itching to kick around

Hope this helps!

Great info. Thanks!
Too bad they don't make a fully sealed unit as ideally I'd like to tune the rear diff with say 10,000-30,000 weight.
For now I'll try 300,000 in the rear and see what happens and use some AW grease in the front.
