Has anyone used a Blue Bird BMS630MG in a Wheely King? Or is the stock one powerful enough? I know everyone on the Traxxas forum is in love with them and people on this form hate them.....at least from what I have read. Any opinions? Here is the servo: (its the 3rd one down) http://www.nitrohouse.com/acces,_servos.htm

I ran them once. I needed a RX pack just to do so. Then I got the Tower Pro MG995 and didn't need a RX pack anymore. They rob power pretty bad.

I have this servo in my W-K and IMO the 190 oz. inches rating is a little overstated. It only does marginally better than my Jr590Z that it replaced. I plan on upgrading to a Hitec Robot servo in the future. I really think you get what you pay for in servos. Good Luck!

A Hitec 645 is comparable to the JR 590z, which are also barely up to the job. Depends on the size tires you run, and where you run. I'm running 645's on mine with Claw Dawgs, which aren't that big, and it does OK. It has a bit more trouble with the stock WK tires. I'd recommend a Hitec 945, which is now replaced with the 985.... at 172 oz. I also recommened always doing non-digital so it doesn't burn up when stuck against something.

Have you actually USED both? I have, and in actual use they are comparable! Last edited by swhenrik; 04-12-2007 at 04:47 PM.
