Default my king with new chassis

ok.. so i finally got some stuff done with the wheely king

hacked savy chassis servo's on axle super rooster KC racing mod motor stock gearsing "soon to change to a 10T robinson racing with a 65t lathe"
savy lower links stock uppers "need shortened a bit" have to switch to pede shafts for the extra length split a 6 cell and am running 3 cells per axle on top of the servo

what do you guys think?

ok.. onto the question pede shafts... are they direct fit if not can someone tell me or link me to the thread that explains installing them.. ive not gotten them yet just looking for a heads up when i do get them so the installation will go smoothly

I think you need to stretch it to at least 12"

lol yes as stated in the needed parts list above.. its going to get some length not 12 tho more along 10.75-11 right now its right on 10 inches but my shafts are to short to let the shocks down a bit more and stretch it out.. its capable of
11 inches on the link setup im using but like i said my shafts kinda screw me atm.. im thinking of heading down to the plumbing supply tomorrow and getting some tube that will fit over the shafts and lengthen them without going to the pede shaft.. well have to see

the reason im keeping it shorter than 12 is i wanna use it for a trail truck as well as some light crawling no comps or anything of that nature here.. just me goofin around lol

ah i see. i dont comp mine and i have it right at 12.5 just makes it more capable but yeah its comin along good

why would you NOT want to go to a pede or even maxx or revo shaft? i bet you will spend just as much money and a whole lot more time trying to mod the stock shafts with tubing, as opposed to just getting a set of traxxas shafts from the LHS....

well.. it cost me 3$ and 10 mins to stretch my shafts today lol... so no i didnt need to go to the pede or revo shafts.. and i pretty much unless i absolutely have to refuse to use anything that traxxas manufacture's or has their name on it lol...

2 3/8 couplers and a tubing cutter and some epoxy literally had it done in less than 10 mins.. and that included fitting them to the right length

its pretty simple just use a regular tubing cutter the width of the wheel from the blade is what i used for the short end use the mouth scraper on the tubing cutter if so equipped to open the mouths of the couplers and shove the barrel part of the shaft in.. its not easy to get in super tight fit but with a lil force they pop in place push the other end the free barrel you cut off the yolk side into the other end of the coupler a very short distance at first then more via measureing out the length you need mark the barrel end "not the yolk end" for refitting pull them apart epoxy reassemble.. reinstall onto truck and wait i used 5 min epoxy i was running inside 20 mins "waited for full cure"

heres what they look like done.. i plan to paint them black though

wow I dont know whats better 10 bucks for new traxxas axles or 10 bucks on jb weld and metal....lmao

lol well their holding up to all the punishment i can throw at em and total cost is $4.97 lol $1.97 for the 5 min epoxy at wally world and 3$ for the couplers..

ive drug em rung em everything i can think of.. and even ripped them apart and adjusted the length i went to 11.25 WB 2 pairs of pliers and alot of force they pop back apart for adjustment.. unlike had i bought traxxas shafts i would have cut them to the length i had then had to buy a second set for the new length this way.. just adjust till theres nothing left to adjust lol.. when that time comes ill just buy the trx shafts.. till then.. this is working better than i had anticipated
