You should figure out a way to mount the motor completely on top of the cab.

If I were going to go through the trouble of building a tuber, I'd clock the motor first - it won't make any difference in the long run if you clock the motor with this motor and gears or for another one - you might need to move or expand one screw hole a little bit, but you're talking about having to build completely new mounts for the whole tranny when you do that later. I'm just sayin' - why not save yourself the trouble?

thanks thats what i was going for the duck look. Im not real happy with my motor mounts as it is some im planning on doing something with lexan when i get a 55t or 65t crawler lathe. im just trying to get the suspension dialed first. seeing if i wanna go full drop with it. Any links to mounting the battery pack on the front axial like some of the comp buggys.

Yea i know mine is to big, its at about 14" wb right now im goin to do the ruller axle jig next time for a 12-12.5" wb and just build around my motor. Im happy with most of the parts, would still like to get a better servo and some batts from crawler store to mount on the axle. i got some new shocks and springs today and im still playing around with the suspension, nothing perminate untill the new tuber.
