Default My scratch built wk crawler...

First off, hey all, I am a new member to the site located in DFW, Texas (in case there any other local crawler freaks in the area).

Well, I recently picked up a WK kit from Kevin over at TCS and ended up tearing it down before even running it stock. Well, I finally finished it up a couple of days ago (other than some tweaking) so I thought I would share. Remaining is relocating my lower links to the inside of the axles, mounting some maxx sized wheels and tires on it, and converting to a brushless/lipo setup...I know it's too long for comp, this is a basher.

If the rain stops this weekend I'll head out to the trails and take some action shots to post up...

As for what else is coming...well I can tell you as time permits I'll be machining my own axles, trans., beadlocks, etc...unfortunately real work interferes with my hobby stuff...haha

I've got a new HAAS 3 axis out in the shop...draw my stuff in AutoCAD and Solidworks, and program everything in Mastercam.

Thanks for the kind words...it is a project still in process but I will keep the thread updated with any new madness I can come up with to add to it.

Default Shortened and relocated lower links...

It's setup kind of high right now for screwing around on the small rocks/dirt mounds outside the shop...will drop her down and go try to hit some bigger stuff this weekend.
