Just finished crawler conversion and took it out . There is a clicking sound like cards in a bike wheel. Cant tell if it's front rear or center. What angles should my pinion be at all 4 ends. Don't know jack about that stuff but I don't wanna screw up my ride either. I searched and didn't find any how to's

Evidently you didn't search by just typing in "clicking". Many ideas there!!!!

WK clicking would most likely be the slipper. Especially if you've re-geared. From 1:1 pinions should be the same angle as the tranny output. kinda like -- \ -- If you've got a CV joint (two U-joint together) then the pinions at the axle should point along the drive shaft. These are just ideal angles. Actual allowed angles are pretty big, espceially if you're running at low speeds. Try turning the assebly by hand and check for binding.

I'm running stock E savage driveshafts ( center universal in front and axle DS in rear cut 10 mm shorter) 65 T Integy lathe, JB locked solid F&R, Novak ESC, and HPI 645 servo. I don't know if they are both universal but they are straight off the axle end and about 10 or 15 degrees down off the tranny end. Would that do it?the click in reverse I mean.I was thinkin' about shimming the ring in f and r but the noise doesn't seem to be coming from that area. It's more from the center area. It's real faint in forward just rollin' on flat cement, but in reverse it's noticable, not as loud as the ESC but noticable. It wouldn't be the motor would it? Hard to tell. It looks like my spur is a bit wobbly too. Just stating observations here as I pick at it. Noob so I'm in the dark. Ireally have searched clicking but it seems all the clicks others heard were related to being under load or in a bind. I don't have to be under load when it clicks but I don't know what bind would be. My rear DS may be a bit too long but would that do what I'm describing? Sorry I'm wordy , I just wanna be as descriptive as I can. Thank you all LOL!

Disconnect the front and rear drive shafts, then run it in forward and reverse. If the noise is still present, you've narrowed it down to the transmission/motor; if not, time to start lookin' at your axles. There is a slight tick to the sound of a wk transmission during normal operation. JIA has a thread about locking the slipper in the tranny, which is really easy to follow. Let us know if it for sure the center, or if it is in the axles.

The rear gears might need to be shimmed closer together. I witnessed a WheelyKing with a brushless system had the same issue. We held down the rear wheels and saw the drive shaft spinning and the axle was not. Check it all bud.

Well, I took off the pinion/motor everything else intact and spun the wheels. No tick in reverse without the motor and pinion. Like I mentioned , the spur is a bit wobbly but I'm told that's normal by a friend due to the slipper spring. Do I need to clean my motor? It's only a week old. If I do then how do I go about doin' that? Noobies suck, I know! Open to ideas!BTW the difs seem fine but I think I'll shim the ring a little closer to the pinion just cuz'

I think I had the same problem. I found that the king bolts that hold the steering knuckles onto the axles were pushing extra plastic down into the hub where the axles run through. Take off your wheel, then remove the upper and lower king bolts. Check all around inside the hub and look down the screw holes to make sure there is not a blob of plastic in the hole. if there is, put the screw back in while it is off the truck and push all the extra plastic junk out.
