| if you've got your stock chassis, just take it apart and trace it on a piece of paper, then cut it out with plexi or sheet metal, so you basically end up with a stock shaped chassis, but with infinite mounting locations for links, shocks, etc... That's what I was thinking of doing for my first scratch build. Then after that, you can decide what you liked about it, and what you want to change for the next interation... Maybe make it so the belly doesn't hang so low etc... hope this helps... |

| thats how I started my build.... traced stock chassis and mount holes on paper then cut out of plastic... but the 4 mount holse for my links.. i moved out 1.5 inches... to give me a 12.5 WB with stock links... is a good starting point anyways... |

| I have this available in a printable scale PDF drawing if your interested. It's 6 5/8" long...3 1/8" tall...and 4 1/8" long at the lower skid "ears". The holes through the sides are large enough to allow the use of a pede trans. sticking out. The top most drawing in this pic: ![]() Here it is as a built chassis. I did mine out of 3/16" delrin. The lower horizontals you see where the skid goes are temporary and so are the 2 green spreaders down there. The skid you use will replace all this: ![]() I can email ya the PDF if you'd like to try and fab this yourself. |

| PM's received...I'll get them sent out to ya when I get home this afternoon, since the template is on my home comp. I will also send you the PDF for the skid since the corners are notched to fit the chassis sides. Pay no attention to the hourglass design on the skid...it's just a design and doesn't need to exist in the skid. FYI...I also have a template for an upper wishbone link if anyone is interested also. It is about .250" longer than the original WK upper link, when using the Revo rod ends at the chassis like what's shown in my pics. You can see the pics HERE about 3/4 of the way down the thread. | Well, I most certainly wouldn't be giving this out like this if I were mass producing the design and selling it. I am not really looking to get into selling the parts. I just figured since I know how to use CAD and I did it anyways for the design of what I wanted...since it's already done, might as well make it available. Would actually be flattering to see a bunch of them out there |
