Default 2 batteries or saddlebags?

I'm thinking about splitting a 3300 pack into 2 halves and hangin them on either side of the chassis. Any suggestions/pros and cons. I tried it on the front upper links and it binds alot so thinkin' about tryin' somethin' else. Woukd just reverse the chassis but doesn't that reduce run time and other adverse things with the motor?
Could I just hang 2 bats/ off either side or would that ber too much weight. I've got an integy 65 turn and novakXRS if that matters.

reversing the chassis wont hurt at all. You will need to mount the servo on the axle or somewhere else though.

Wouldn't the motor heat up faster running in reverse all the time? I saw a thread somewhere about wiring a motor backwards and it mentioned hotter motor lower run time and wayfaster in reverse as side effects or indicators that one has wired their motor backwards. Am I off here? I just don't wanna fry anything.

I split my pack.. and a second one.. for one extra cell.... iam running 4 on the front axle beside the steering servo, and 3 on the rear axle... works good... but you have to charge it on the rig... my cells when the plastic and paper are removed were not sealed... so when i taped 4 of them together and started soldering them... they got REAL hot.. then i realized that I was shorting them out with eachother..lol.... THE END

flipping the chassis has done no harm to my wk..in fact..it was not only easy fer a newb..it was the single best thing i could do to make it a more capable crawler while keeping it mostly stock. I've never had any problems with shorter run times or any kind of overheating, running stock 'lectrics and a 55t.

I know nothing about battries. Any tips or pointers before I screw somethin' up? Also I see batteries in tubes sometimes. Where would I look to find some? I have about 15 minutes a day I can use this computer before it overheats (broken fan)so it's hard to search in sessions. Thanks for all the input so far!lol
