Default Soft rims

Anyone having probs whith the rim turning around the wheel hex under heavy load? I've noticed the plastic is quite soft when I narrowed my rims...

Glueing your hexes in will help the most.

Do a search and you will find a lot of people complain about this with tons and tons of different rims. We just demand alot out of our rims.

HPI wheels are the only ones ive seen do this. ive heard of axial beadlocks doing it but havent seen it in person... glueing your hexes into the wheels will pretty much cure it.

Junfac beadlocks rock. I have been running mine for a month now and they work really well. The price also makes them more desirable

I run the Traxxas aluminum hexes along with some of the home-made beadlocks using front Stampede wheels. The hexes aren't glue in, and I've put a good amount of time through the wheels with M2Ks. No problems with aluminum hexes (I did almost completely strip some HPI Scorch wheels with plastic hexes, CA gluing the hexes into those wheels fixed that).

Definitely glue hexs in. Hpi's seem to loosen quickly especially if you dont recheck your hex nuts every run.
