Default Gearing question

Hey guys,
I did a ton of searching and couldn't find what I needed. I have a mostly stock WK that I finally got a new Integy v10 60t motor for and 15/96 gearing. My question is, I can't get the gears to mesh. It seems like there just isn't enough room between the motor and tranny for the gears to seat coompletely. Do I have to shave the trans? thanks for answering my stupid noob question.

Thats really strange. With the 15/96 gears on my WK the mesh is *perfect* with the motor dropped all the way down.

Ditto to what cotharyus said - with the exception of trimming the inside of the dust cover to fit over the 96t spur, I had to make no other alterations to drop in the 15/96 gears.
