| Are you sure it's the diff gears and not the internal slipper in the tranny? The first time mine slipped, I thought for sure my diff was going out, I even ordered the hardened diff gears to replace them, but when I took the diff apart it looked brand new. I sold the new gears to a buddy and now have 15+ hours of runtime on the originals. The way to find out if it's the diff or not is to hold the rear tires to prevent them from spinning, then gun it. If it clicks and the rear driveshaft spins, it's the diff. If it clicks and the driveshaft doesn't spin, it's the slipper and there's no need to worry. |
