| I decided to extend my WK to a 12.5" so I can run Maxx bodies on it for more realism and stability on the trail. The links and upper link extension are solid 5/16" rod and the extension plates are 1/8". I painted up the sides or the plates to help them blend in with the stock frame. The upper link is way too flimsy with the extension in place, so I am going to machine something out of aluminum to replace it in the near future. | I get what you are going for, but adding the extension to leave the suspension geometry close to stock is not needed. Just mount them to an existing hole in the stock chassis and experiment with springs. What you did does blend in very well though, good job on what you wanted to achieve. |

| yeah thats looks really nice, paint the links black. Then add a little mud all over and you wouldn't be able to tell at all. |

| Who cares if it's needed? It's well thought out, it's executed cleanly, and it's creative and original. I'd say it's better than most of the other identical WKs that are out there, just because it shows that he can think outside of the box and do something a little differently. Good job, bro! |

| Thanks for the compliments. I'm a relative newb in the crawler scene, but I have been bitten by the bug. I'm building a totally custom 12.5 chassis with a pede tranny for this truck now. The COG is just too high with the stock chassis and tranny. I'm just trying to decide whether I want to go droop or sprung or a combination of both. I've got all the possibilities drawn to scale on paper, I just need to fire up the bandsaw and the mill and make it happen. |
