I was wondering when you were gonna get started on this one. I say droop it, no sense having 2 that work the same. Tranny looks good also.

Nice ideas Lee, look foward to crawling with you guys again sometime soon. As far as the droop idea, I agree, I've got mine setup droop right now and I'm liking the difference, there's ups and downs to both droop and sprung but you can just adjust your driving to suit....

Thanx guys!! here is a quick update:

Think I have the tranny Finalized for the CNC(Whew This 3D solids in AutoCAD is fun!) I made sure there was more clearance at the motor to housing for better pinion and spur mesh. You can see the motor plate is ready too. I hope to have these pieces machined this week. I have to get a 3/8" Sheet of Delrin for the case. What you guys think??

Hey Grimm, keep the 27th open, going to try and get everyone together for a run.

Dog, those should work out very nice, is the motor plate you showed me at the comp the same one, or did you change it around alittle?

Crawl rookie, Yes I did in fact completely revised the case and plate just to be sure everything was perfect. I just revised the plate purely for looks. I think it looks much better..
I uploaded the second picture to show you were I clearanced the case for better pinion to spur mesh, Red Arrow.

Well I got the tool paths applied to tranny case today and tomorrow I will generate the code. The local Acetal Fairy did not have any 1/2" sheet in Stock so an order to McMaster Carr will have to be placed and hope it gets here quickly.(before the weekend maybe)
I will keep ya posted!!

That tranny is gonna be sweet! If it works out like it should.............you should produce a few, get a star and sell them! Hint, hint. I'd try one.

After a long Saturday of the wife annoying me(she needs a new hobby) I tore down the stretched WK Axles and fabbed up new Delrin Links and created some axle link mounts for the rear axles. Those took a long time but I think they turned out good. those of you in the know might recognize the suspension configuration I plan on running on this tuber. Today I will be fabbing the front link/servo mounts.

Anyway enough chatter on to the pics:
