This is how they look all new! ![]() ![]() First take off your old axle "C's" assembly by taking out the two screws on each side. No pics pretty self explainatory. Remove the inner and outer bearings from it. ![]() ![]() ![]() Carefully place one on the outer edge of the addaptor. ![]() Push in place. ![]() Drop the inner one in carefully, press in place with a slightly larger screw driver. ![]() Take your CVD's, YES THESE WORKS WITH CVD'S, and place it in the bearings push all of the way though until seated. Put it back into the axle the way it came out. ![]() ![]() ![]() Seat the axle into the diff. Put screws in the existing holes. ![]() Assemble other axle. Put on rims and tires. ![]() This took me ten minutes to do, I stopped and took pictures in that time also. Now go test them. Last edited by Usmc8541; 10-09-2007 at 12:09 PM.

There is Absolutly NO play in them, they are SOLID. No shims required. They have less play than the stock assembly.

Looks good. I wonder if they would work with the rcp copper alloy ring/pinion. Im running cvd's as well, and when I installed the new gears last night, I noticed that one of the cvds will stick out a bit further than the other both front and rear. I ordered a set of the straight axle adptrs yesterday, so we'll see Anyway, nice write up, I'll keep everyone posted on what I find

Nice write-up. Do these adapters make the stance any wider than stock? I hope not.

When I did mine, I got the straight axles from rc4wd, and I had to go to the hardware store to pick up some e-clips to hold the bearings in. The shafts are slotted for clips, but they didn't come with my axles. I would gladly of payed an extra 0.40 cents to have them included, but oh well... | |
