| I have been using 4-40 threaded rod, and 3/16x.035 aluminum tube to test out lengths and geometry. When I find a length that works I contact David over at www.xtremerchobbies.com and ask him to make a set of lower 3/8" Derlin links with HD Revo ends. I keep the 4-40/alloy tube upper links, but use his links on the lowers. They are just 3 shades of awesome in a 1 shade world. I couldn't be happier with them and will be ordering a few more sets soon. You can find him in the vendor section or PM insanerc. |

| I have been using carbon arrows and rod ends from made by Associated for their MGT (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFUG9). I just went to a local archery store and ask for "cutoffs" and they handed me several for free. To tie it all together I bought some 8-32 all thread from Lowes. Hope that helps. |

Getting back to Iceman's comment.... my links were premade by the previous owner and well I will be creating my own links anyways... so I know I made them. I think the ones he made were 4-40 and 3/16th brake line. | |

| I made mine from Revo rod ends and some 6-32 allthread rod, with THREE layers of K&S Aluminum tubing over that. The smallest piece fits so tightly over the allthread that you have to thread it on, then the other two slip-fit tightly over that. I tried to bend one of the links I made by hand and couldn't do it. I've purposely abused them and haven't bent one yet. (I have, however, messed up three link/shock mounts. two of them are sloppy on the axle and the third one straight BROKE!) |

| On my 2.2: 5/16" solid black acetal (Delrin) with Jato rod ends. Jato's only cause that's all I had at the time...I would have used Revo's. On my super: 3/8" solid black acetal with Revo ends. Also, just to clear up Javelin's post above...he must be using Revo SHOCK ends and not the pushrod and toelink rod ends which are a bit larger. When using the larger toelink and pushrod one's (which is primarily the "Revo's" everyone is talking about when they say "Revo's")...you need at least 8-32 threaded into them. 6-32 is too small unless you are in fact using the Revo SHOCK ends. | I'm a big fan of the XRC bent links on my TLT based rig. They've taken plenty of abuse. |

| Not to change the subject, but for those using bent links, how do you bend them? I am using m4 ss threaded rod with aluminum sleeves and traxxas revo rod ends, but am not sure on the best way to bend the rod and aluminum. |

| well guys I put the revo turnbuckles on my wheely king for the links and they made the wheelbase of my wk the same as my t-maxx so I should be able to use the t-maxx center driveshafts right? |

| All I did for shafts was get a bag of Traxxas half shafts PN4951 (HD Driveshaft E/Tmax .15) and use the male shafts with the HPI female. They slid right in and didn't bind, all I did was pop the HPI male end off the U-joint and pop the Traxxas one on, then cut it to length and tested it. I have 3 3000Mah packs through it with a 20T motor and haven't had any problems yet. |

Actually, I screwed up. I DID use 8-32 for the links. The ones I used are the Revo Short Rod ends. I actually didn't realize my mistake on that until I went to convert mine to a four-link this weekend. Grabbed the 6-32, went to screw 'em together and went "DOH!" :-x Good catch, though. | ok guys i used some revo turnbuckles that I have lying around the house so those are going to be my links. And my diff lockers came in the mail today so I got them installed so my diffs are locked now. so now all I have to get are the center driveshafts. is there any way that I could make my center driveshafts metal instead of the t-maxx plastic ones? |

| You could get some RC4WD punisher shafts, but they're expensive and I have no idea which size you would need. |
