| Thought that I would take some time to introduce myself, I'm new to RC Crawler and wanted to say that viewing your projects is an inspiration. It's a fantastic resource and is nice to see so many others with the same passion for the hobby. Thought you may want to take a look at my latest project, UNGLEWD.
Hope you like it, Kevin Here are some pics from my build: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's a few shots of the 95% finished truck (scale accessories will be added this week): ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by UNGLEWD; 07-21-2008 at 10:11 PM. |

Sweet build-up, that turned out really nice. Wild Willy looks right at home in the Bronco body too.

I have that body on my custom WK as well... But it looks nowhere near as good as that! Nice job on your truck.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I thought it would be fun to add Willy, only had room for a partial interior because of the stock WK tranny. For my current build, I'm going to give a full interior a shot. It's Scorpion based and uses one of my full length frames. I plan on using Willy for this too, he should keep most of his organs intact though. Also I did build the cage myself, braised 3/16" steel tube. I made it so it could be unbolted easily to be replaced by another cage and body style later on. I change my mind often.

That's an awesome lookin build. Only thing that looks off IMO is that it sits kinda high...but I like my rigs real low, so I may be kinda partial

I agree about the height. This may be adjusted or lowered a bit still. I just have a hard time chopping out the wheel wells for tire clearance. Thanks for the feedback, Last edited by UNGLEWD; 10-18-2007 at 12:13 PM.

I have started on the scale accessories today. I modeled a fuel cell out of styrene and will add decals to it and the nitrous bottle. ![]() This is a pretty good shot of the winch & front bumper. The winch & hook is from the Wild Willy 2, the cable is just some wire that I twisted together. Last edited by UNGLEWD; 07-21-2008 at 10:11 PM.

Yeah, the hood was all black on the inside first. I then masked the body and hood scoop off and airbrushed it using Parma fascolor on the outside. The fender flares were done in the same way. Last edited by UNGLEWD; 10-20-2007 at 08:52 AM.

Finally complete! Made a few bungee cords and added the decals that I was waiting for. Can't wait to get out and put some scratches in it. ![]() Last edited by UNGLEWD; 07-21-2008 at 10:12 PM.
