Default Alternatives Driveshafts

Are there any other driveshafts aside from those of the E-savage that can be used in the wheely king?I tried the Jato from traxass but the the hole is too small, and I will be using the stock tranny..:-( Thanks

I used E-maxx Shafts with the stock WK end yokes. You can either use the stock WK cross balls or the E-maxx cross balls, I used the E-maxx ones because they're slightly beefier, but you have to drill out the holes in the WK yokes slightly to get them in there.

I think you can do the same with the Revo's, if I'm not mistaken?

I used the Long T-maxx ones http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXSP55&P=ML . I reemed out the holes on the stock Diff Output Yokes and used the chromed universal ball joints that came with them. The shafts are long so that you can cut them to whatever length your chassis setup requires.

Revo shafts fit both the trans shaft and the axle pinion like a glove.

also the revo shafts are a little thicker so if you break one you really are bashing!!! I got them on my king.

Would you happen to know the part number for those on towerhobbies.com?

I'm new to all of this and if these fit without me having to drill my stock stuff that'd be cool.

Revo shafts fit with without drilling anything. TMaxx shafts fit without drilling anything if you use the Traxxas yokes. The Tower number for the Revo complete assembly is TRAC9791, the Traxxas number is 5451X.

The wheel end of the driveshaft uses a slightly different yoke, one that is intended to ride inside a bearing, but all you have to do is sand/grind/cut down the tapered end to allow it to slide far enough on the pinion shaft to let the set screw shaft pass through. If you didn't want to have to do that, you could order another set of the Revo diff side yokes to match the other end.

In summary ....

Revo Shafts (5451X), but will need to grind the end off to get it to fit over the pinion shafts or order 1 extra pair of the diff/tranny revo yokes (5458X).

Traxxas shafts (4951X), but need to drill out the WK Yokes (what size bit would you need here?) or order a 2 pairs of the Traxxas Yokes ... (is that part #4928X?).

The last option is to extend stock shafts with the 1/2" potable tube:

To drill out the wheely king yokes, i spun a 1/8" drill bit through them by hand.
