Default wheely king build....

Just got a wheely king a couple days ago, it came with a 45 turn intregy,and a tamiya hilux body.



started crawling rite away.desided locked diffs would be good so i put hot glue in them

i went to the lhs and got traxxas rod ends and shafts..extending soooon.

steering sucks so im going to do the axle mount servo but dont know what type of servo to run.

Not a bad start but the hard plastic bodys on the stock WK makes it very top heavy. I know i tryed it with a clod body. It looked cool but thats about it.

yeah its very very top heavy and becouse its hard plastic when the tires hit it they get snagged and thats about an extra inch of articulation.

will deffinietly get a lexan body

I got sick of the stock frame and made my own. Im glad i did becuse it crawls 10 times better.

what servo you running?
is it any good?

Im using a tower hobbies servo system 3000 ( STD TS-53) I got it with my clod in there RTR pack.

then your clod body is about same style,,,,have it look cool /have it crawl good.. all depends what you want

I dont really have any plans i designed it free hand.



I mounted the nylint tires by taking a 10 mm od nut drilling a set pin hole throu it and turning the outer nut backwards to hold it on. It seams to work for know.

today i got some materials for my stretch and other things. only stretched the back.

materials:
Traxxas long drive shafts
Traxxas rod ends
6-32 all thread
6-32 lock nuts
breakline that fit snugly
Mini-T springs

I would recomend extending both the front and rear links to the same length. I made my lower links at 5 inches. i also used tlt link mounts to mount my shocks and my upper links.

Doing it this way gives my tons of flex but not to much flex.

yeah im gonna stretch the front an inch i did it this way so i would have most of the weight in the front.. i have about that much flex. it crawls like a champ.
