Hey guys,

Well it is finally time to start my sw3 build. Right now i just have my electronics, tranny and the chassis. Some of my other parts should be in tomorrow.

Specs:
Bender Stealth SW3
WK Axles with TCS lockers
Rooster Crawler
Integy 45t motor
Axial Transmission
Axial Beadlocks
Moabs

Parts on the way:
Delrin links from Xtreme Hobbies
Metal upper link mount form TCS
Custom carbon fiber rock rings from JPH Racing
Hitec 645 servo from RCP

I havent had time to get the motor sodered to the esc. I cant wait to get this together and test it. I want to thank all the vendors and Bender and JPH for helping me out on this build

Looks like a solid start. Great choice in a chassis.

I'm doing a similar build currently, I'm hoping for good results. I never really liked the TLT axles, and the WK axles seem sturdier than the axial units. Only beef is the lack of a servo mount, but that's not too hard to remedy.

I got some of my parts in. Now all i need is my links. Please try not to make fun of my body trimming and painting even though it will be really tempting. This is the first body I have ever trimmed and painted. It is the new Losi Grappler. I thought it turned out decent but I will let you all decide.

Now that that is done, here is my most favorite part of the build. JPH Racing made me some custom carbon fiber beadlock rings. When I opened the package, all I could say was WOW! These things are awesome. The detail is amazing and I think they will set my truck off. The pics do not do these things justice.

I want to thank JPH Racing and RCP for the parts and fast delivery. Now all I need are my delrin links from Xtreme Hobbies but they should be in tomorrow.

I kinda figured about the spacers. I just added a bar between the chassis rails to spread them out.

I have a quick question, I was out crawling in the snow and it seemed when the truck got away from me, it would glitch bad. If i pointed the radio at the truck though, it would run normal. Im using a TQ3 with traxxas reciever. I guess it is time to upgrade to a better one but i dont know if i could prgram it. Please someone help and tell me what to get

The TQ3 is known for glitching if you get too far away from your rig. Are you running capacitors on your motor?

The capacitors lower the "noise" from the motor giving a AM radio system less glitchyness. I'm pretty sure, don't hold it to me.

what would you all suggest for a radio and reciever? I would like to get a 3 channel one and without crystals. Im planning on putting an r2d and if i go to comps, I dont want any interference.

The rig is looking SWEET!
Might have to do something different with the battery??
For a radio, try the Futaba 3PM 2.4 gig system. No worries about glitching, or frequency conflicts! We sell them for $179.99

I have that radio and love it. I didn't have too hard a time programming it, the destructions are pretty clear. Your speed control should have come with motor capacitors and a diagram of how to wire them. Should be (3) 0.5 micro farad non-polarized ceramic capacitors. Wire one + to ground, one - to ground and one + to -. If you can't find any go to radio shack or find an electronics supply house. they are cheap.
