Started with a WK Roller

Mod list So Far

I used the HPI guide to extend the wheelbase, i used the lengths to get a nearly perfect 12.5 inch wheelbase. I used Losi links instead of the HPI ones for three reasons... 1) I'm a cheap @$$ 2) There were no HPI ones avaiable to me and im impatient 3) I was able to replace some the pins and c clips with all thread and nuts so i dont have to deal with the C clips anymore.

I also Threw In an Integy 75T Motor, Mamba Maxx ESC set to 100percent drag brake and smooth throttle curve.

I designed a template to place the servo directly above the axle so that it sits just above the 3 link linkage and doesnt interfere with the upper chassis. This allowed me to not have to worry about flipping the supports on the axles and i could keep everything there stock.

My original ideal was to remove the stock servo tray and flip it, but instead i built a custom piece out of aluminum and mounted it using servo mounts from a tc4 to the chassis. I can now fit a full 8cell hump pack in the front of the chassis and it doesnt limit articulation. It also gives me a good forward wieght balance good for uphill, although the weight is set a little high. This also allowed me to keep the stock battery tray so that on a downhill i can run the battery in the back to keep the back end down (at least that is the theory).

The custom servo mount is a template i made while screwing around at the hobby shop because i hate the way the side mounted servos look and that u have to change the linkage up. It's only on version 1.0 I still have to smooth the design out more and make it a tad more rigid, because the current steel is too thin and tends to flex some.

Coming Mods:
4wheel Steering (maybe)
Aluminum Steering Linkages ( the plastic bends too much)
645mg Servos
Axial Black Chrome Beadlocks and Losi Rockclaws (picking them up from Richie tomorow or thursday)
K5 Blazer body or FJ Cruiser Body
Beefier Servo Mount
96T Spur

Enjoy More pix coming soon

i built allmost the same servo bracket for my stearing as well, works great and now i can mount my battery in two seperate humps on either side of the servo for an even weight. it also really helps with the torque twist having the chassy light and the weight on the axle.
