You have to print the PDF to get the scale right. It's not to scale on the monitor.

well when i go to make it it ask me a zoom in option and its hard to get a actual 1-1 scale when everybodys computer will print it in different sizes...i can print it long ways and make the frame 8" long or print it tall ways and make it 4" long...i can zoom in anywhere from 50%-200%...and once it gets printed i do measurements and my tranny want fit in the hole side ways...my tranny is close to 2.5" laying on its side...this template is only giving me1.5" of a open hole to fit it in......from oute hole to outer hole its only measuring 6"...and from the top of the chassis to the bottom of the skid im getting 3"

When you click on the picture on my site and it opens the PDF document on the screen, the percent of zoom that it shows in this window means nothing to the printer. This zoom is only making the document on the screen bigger and smaller...will not affect printing at all.

When it's open in front of you, just click the print icon in the tool bar at the top. When the print window opens, there should be a picture on the right of roughly what it will look like printed. It should say it's 8.5" x 11" paper and also should say the scale it's going to print at. This should say "1/1" or something like that.

If there is an option area in your print window of "print scaling", it should be set to NONE. There will be options like "fit to" and "shrink to", but you want the NONE setting. Then just hit the print or OK button in the print window and it should print.

After it's printed, you can use a ruler to check that it printed correctly by laying it next to the scale I have provided on the sheet. It won't be right on the money, but over the whole length of the scale, which is 8", it shouldn't be off by more than a 1/16".

let me know how that works for ya.
