Default my new Fatdog build!

So I tore apart my crawler after santas rock rash and decided it was time to change some stuff I wasn't happy with.

I have always loved the look of the fatdog chassis so I decided to buy one instead of freeze my ass of and build another one in my shed!

first off, thanks fathead for the hookup!
onto the build...

fatdog chassis (coated with Turboliner, no more repainting!)
wk axles
R2 Trans
35T warrior motor
mamba max esc
lipo battery(not sure which one yet though)
vf stalker wheels
losi rock claws
JR ds8711 servo
losi shocks (possibly droop in front?)
double triangulated links
70/40 or 60/30 not really sure yet

the way it sits now the front links will be pretty short, do you guys think having short links will cause any binding or other issues?

all input is appreciated.
should have more done this week.
more to come

i have pretty short links(about the same as you will have) on my tuber in the front and i have zero binding even with a mini-t pack on the upper links. and since your double triangulating your links it will take any binding with the links. i would worry more about the drive shaft binding with the links.

i like your stand

are the holes not drilled even for the rear links? It looks like it the way the rearend is pushed to the left.

Think about the front driveshaft angle. I had run shorter links and with the droop my truck runs it was an issue. I had to move my R2D back a set of holes and slightly clock the front axle to make it work.

Its' a roller now!
just waiting for my new motor that shipped out today.

I did have drive shaft/link issues.
I ended up having to space the trans up a bit to get them to clear, but it's all good now!

thanks Naz-t for helping me to get grounded from the hobby because of my last visit! thank god you didn't have anything else in stock! Click the image to open in full size.

Man that looks sweet!! From outside to outside tire whats the track width ? Just wondering how much those VF wheels narrowed your track width.

well it's all done except I am still waiting for my 35t warrior but, I have to say even with the old 55t it's so much better than it ever was!

first off if any of you were debating what esc to go with, just do the mambe max! I guarantee you will not be dissapointed. It's worth the money!!!!

the new combination of 2 cell lipo, mamba max, and spektrum radio has made this truck a completely different truck it has more wheel speed and great run time, plus it's still really controllable at extremely slow speeds!

I couldn't be happier with it!

oh did I mention that it's extremely stable and has an awesome COG. I have only been couch crawling so far but I can tell it's way more superior to my old setup!
