| ZNO-RC Scaler Competition - Swan Falls ZNO-RC is Putting On Another COMP! With the help of Cory, Chad and a few dedicated others, the ZNO-RC crew is going to dust off the gates, pull out the score cards and put on a real competition. What: 1/10th Scale, RC Scaler Competition When: Sunday, March 29th Time: First comp starts at 11:00 am Where: Swan Falls (43.264511, -116.400016) Details: There will be 3 events all held on the same day. Each event will have between 100-350 gates which can span quite a distance over rough terrain. We recommend bringing at least 6000 mah worth of batteries, some spare parts and a good variety of tools. Lunch will be up to you. We will only keep the courses open for a few hours each so please don't show up late and expect to run them all. We run by a unique set of rules, which if you would be interested in seeing, can be sent via email. Below are the key rules to follow. - The vehicle must be 1/10th scale (or it won't fit through the gates) - The vehicle must be drive shaft driven (no MOA's) - The vehicle should look realistic (We count scale points. They are not necessary but they do work to improve your overall drive time.) - The vehicle must be controlled by a radio.... I suppose that's a given. - It doesn't matter what you bring, run it! Yes the rules are important, they make it more fun but at the end of the day it's pretty much run what you brung. - Please follow the driver rules as closely as possible. We're out here to create a realistic, quick paced event. It stops being fun for everyone when someone takes it too seriously or not serious enough. Here's the right amount of serious: Drive it as realistically as possible while still having fun, not holding people up, not passing aggressively, not touching your car (no miracle helicopter lifts), keeping track of your own gates, penalties and time (not letting your pal do it by memory), and driving with a great attitude (out to help your fellow RC enthusiast get to the finish line)! Directions: Go to Kuna, ID and head straight South till you get to Swan Falls. After driving down the cliff, at the bottom of the hill is a dirt road to the right. The signs should indicate camping spots in that direction. Drive down that road for a mile or so until you come to a parking/camping spot where there is a bathroom. That is where we will be starting the comp. You will also see a ZNO-RC banner at that location. Also if the weather permits, a few of us may be camping over from Saturday. If you interested in joining in, just reply. I'll post photos up tomorrow. See you there! |

This is awesome news! We are going to be coming back to Boise to visit family and friends on Saturday night. Count Karlene and I in! We've really missed the crawling scene living in Wapiti WY ( 30 miles East of Yellowstone National Park).... It's an outdoorsmen paradise... but no RC club... For those who have not been there, it's a great spot! And there are no comps that compare to the ZNO crew! As a side note... We are planning on camping out the following Friday - Saturday at Windy Knoll, Owyhee's. Anyone that wants to do more crawling, let me know. Looks like there is going to be a good turn out for this. There should be a new kid showing up with his stock axial Wrangler. Bet he takes us all out. |

Hi all, we're still heading that way... We got delayed yesterday coming across Montana. Big fire / wind storm, multi car pile up. So, the interstate was closed... Anyway, we are in Pocatello and trying to get there ASAP...

So it took some time but we finally have the Scores for the day. Each course is scored separately then the times are added together for the final score. We had a great time and would like to thank everyone that came out. We hope to see you all again for the next ZNO-RC Comp!! **I have one score book where the pages were removed and I'm not sure who's they were. Also I'm missing the books for Dustin Hagerty and Shane so if you guys have any information on which of you may have removed the pages I'll get those scores updated. Also if you have the books just PM me the details on the times and gates. You're welcome. It was a lot of fun to get back out there and run the cobwebs out of our rigs and meet some new people. It's been too long. Thanks to all the guys and gals from Worxs for showing up and making it worth the effort. Course #3 set up by Cory was really great to run even if my drive line wasn't able to stay together long enough to finish. Thank Cory Also a big thanks to Larry for all your help setting up, supplying the tools to fix my car (cuz I forgot mine), and feeding me lunch. Thanks to me your time on the course sucked. Thanks to everyone that helped tear down the courses. That always makes it nice at the end of a long day. To answer the question if we had a good turnout, just look at the list of the results. There were "28" drivers there. Amazing We hope to be able to do it again soon. Not sure when but we will do it again in a completely different area to "KEEP IT FRESH"! |

This is excellent news. How much is the entry fee? And do we need to pay for each run?
