Default February Comp

We are (weather pending) hosting a crawl at Jump Creek outside of Marsing Idaho. February 13th sign ups at 10 A.M. This comp is FREE to all and we will be scoring 2.2 Novice, 2.2 Pro, and Scale. We will try to be done by 4 P.M.

Directions:
• From Marsing: Go west on Highway 55 about 1.5 miles past the Highway 95 intersection.
• Turn left onto Cemetery Road.
• Travel about 1.5 miles farther where Cemetery Road intersects South Jump Creek Road.
• Turn left (south) and head for the mouth of the canyon which is visible in the distance.
• About 1.5 miles before reaching the canyon, the road surface turns to gravel. Continue on the gravel road through the cattleguard, across the creek and up the hill to the right.

i know i sound like a girl, just avoiding the dog house it's cold outside still. the more people at the comp the better so see what you can do. by the way jeff put me down for a 2.2 novice (still no dig)and a scaler, plus a 2.2 novice for my son.

Is this still on for Saturday?

Has anyone ever did any crawling on some of the rock formation on the way up too bogus basin? I was up at bogus yesterday and saw some great looking rocks (when it's warmer out) less than half way up the mountain.

My son and I were talking about that area. We MB thru there ( when it's warm ) all the time and yes there are some great spots. The spot I'm thinking of is a short hike off the road but I think it would be worth it.

That's funny because I was up there yesterday as well and I noticed what was probably the same area. I clocked it on my odometer and from the stop sign at the base of the hill it was 7.2 miles and there were two turnouts right there, probably enough parking for a get together. No snow on the ground right now at that spot, but I'd imagine it is pretty soft, so I am going to hold off on exploring until it warms up a little. Looks promising for 2.2 and scale.
