Here are some details for the upcoming Celebration Park Comp 5/22.

We will be running two or three 2.2 Competitions depending on time. The scoring will be similar to our Winter Series in that we will score you for each comp individually and your standing for the end of the day will be your score for that day. If you miss a day in the series you will get a +5 whatever the attendance was for that day. At the end of the series you will be able to throw out your highest score but because of this scoring style no one will be out of the running for a podium finish because of one bad day or absent score.

We use the USRCCA Rules which we will go over at the beginning of the comp and we will help any of the new comers that come with tips and understanding of the rules, as well as crawler setup and tuning tips.

Something new for this year is we will be running Scale Competitions at all of our Series Comps and at the end of the Series there will be a seperate trophy for the Scale Series. The rules for the scale series we will go over at the Comp. We will have a course preset on location, only 1 course for the first comp and probably around 100 gates so be ready to travel some distance.

We look forward to seeing everyone out at this comp and for the rest of the series. Even if you are not interested in competing with your crawler or if you just want to spectate everyone is welcome. Bring out whatever you have and we will have a good time. Also we are planning on doing midweek comps throughout the the summer but they will not be part of the series. As soon as we have more information we will post it up.

Rock Mafia Comp 1-6 Celebration Park

Final Scores
1 Thomas -50
2 Froadr (Thomas) -39
3 Dino -39
4 Chris -37
5 Larry +2
6 Shawn +11
7 Mike +51
8 Jeff G +53
9 Brian +60
10 Mitchel +62

Everyone that brought a Scaler to the Comp will receive a score of 1. Since this was the first real scale event we did a shake down crawl to work some of the bugs out of our cars which was much needed. Hopefully we will be doing a couple different styles of Scale events including endurance 100+ Gate events and Tough Truck Challenges with hill climbs and pulling contests so it should get really interesting. For those of you that couldn't make it to this event you will get a score of 5 for this comp if you compete in the other events in the series.

Scaler Series 1-6 Scores

Larry 1
Shawn 1
Dino 1
Froadr (Thomas) 1
Brian 1
Mike 1
Chris 1

Thanks to everyone that showed up and all the help. This should be a really fun series. Its nice to be outdoors again! I'll be posting up details on the next comp coming up in 3 weeks so keep checking in.

Comp 2 June Rock The City Comp

So as promised here are some of the details for the upcoming June Comp.

Date: June 11 & 12

Where: City of Rocks, Idaho State Park

Who: Anyone that wants to attend.

We have reserved 4 Camp sites in preperation for this event. So far we have our small normal group attending and families with a total of roughly 20 people out of the aprox 32 we can have in our combined camp sites. If you would like to use some of the space we have dont hesitate to contact us we would be happy to share our space.

If you would like to get your own space for this event I highly recommend getting on to the Idaho City of Rocks web site to reserve a site as soon as possible since they are filling up the closer we get to the date. We are in Area 4 near Bath Rock and Window Arch spaces 40, 41, 43 and 45 if you would like a space near ours you might get lucky.

We are really looking forward to this trip and it should be a lot of fun. There is no real agenda for this camping trip or comp so we can relax and just have a good time but there will be comps and scored scale runs not to mention the possibility of night runs so if you have light on your rigs get them working "thumbsup".

For more information or to reserve a spot with us you can contact myself or Dean through the week at 208.365.5772 or email us at sales@zno-rc.com and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Look forward to seeing you there.
