Hay guys, im sure that someone here local would be willing to help me out with understanding alll the set-up with a Spektrum DX3R. I have the manual, but it is very vague & i cant seem to get throttle response to work correctlu. (it literly took me 3 days just to get forward & reverse figured out.) You would think that being in the hobby since the 80s that I know this, but I dont. I never had realy nice radios. Just cheep futoba & airtronics. So if you could help walk me through what all the curvs (ie: throttle, braking, etc) mean/do, Id realy appricate it. cuz, Im a bit lost! ![]() |

Its strange as hell to me. Ive never had or heard of any radio that doesnt alow the rig to move forward or reverse till you figure out all the settings! Im hopeing to get it figured out before the scale comp on saturday otherwise Ill have to change the reciever out & use my old radio. |

I am sure we can get you going at the comp this weekend. but it sounds like you didnt bind the reciever and trans. if the car wont go at all. Does the steering servo work? |

I bound it & the servo workes just finf right from the get go....... It had no throttle at all till I tweeked the "throttle" travle, sub trim & exponential... (esc is a sidewinder) But now the throtle is way to glitchy & sensitive. kindof all or nothing. This damn radio is complicated.

Sounds like you need to calibrate the radio to the ESC. Turn on the radio Put all throttle epa's to 100 and center the trim Pull full throttle and hold Turn on the truck with the switch, plug in the battery, or what ever it takes to make the ESC and receiver come to life The ESC will chime when it finds the forward setting from the radio Then push full reverse ESC will chime again when it finds reverse Let go of the throttle ESC will chime again when it finds neutral Dont do anything ESC will chime again, and should be ready to go |
