Yes you may have seen this on chitown..... I wanted to gauge interest... I have 5 acres near Champaign Il, out in the middle of the country. I have a approx 50'x50' rock crawling course, a 40' 2' deep river running thru the property, plenty of hills (hills not little mounds like most of Il). Running water, electricity, and firewood. Best of all, 1/8 mile to the nearest neighbor. There several rock crawlers in the area that would join us for a comp and plenty of room for nitro monster truck bashing. I was thinking we could do a rock crawling comp on 1 day and general bashing the rest. There is plenty of room and several good areas for scalers to do trail runs or mud bogging (I have some mud that swallows 1:1 trucks). Its my property so I can what I want, need a mud pit Ill dig it, some jumps built Ill grab the tractor etc... Those that dont like to camp, there are hotels a few miles up the road. Let me know what everyone thinks

Thought I would leave a reply here too, since I don't spend much time on other forums. I'm definitely interested, and I appreciate the opportunity, looking forward to the weather permitting. I also have a park flyer plane that would be cool to fly at your place. Let's discuss at our next meeting

Here are a couple dates I have in mind, Im looking for some feedback... May 24/25 (yes memorial day weekend) Its a long weekend, most people camp anyway. May 31/June 1 June 7/8 I would rather not go any later into June. I am going down this weekend to work on a new trail/obsticle and maybe finish up the ones I have already started (some of these obsticles are the size of the indoor courses we have been running on). If anyone wants to stop out, feel free, Ill have 2 of my crawlers with me and have no problem stopping what I am doing to crawl.

Im actuy leaning toward the 6-7 dates myself... that way I could go down on Memorial day and get some extra runs built. Also, I added another trail yesterday, about 10' long up about a 30* incline with verticle climbs etc...Ill post up some pics....

Please post a few hotel options nearby. I am NOT a camper. I like a bed and a shower. That being said, a June 7th-8th comp sounds like fun. And getting to break out the nitro vehicles sounds like fun as well.

Champaign/Urbana is about full of hotel options and they are all pretty nice places (no dives/no-tell-motels). Its about a 20-30min drive from the hotels out to "the farm". I would recommend doing a search on like Hotels.com, Im from there so i dont usually stay at the hotels or even notice which ones are where. (but if I get a chance Ill try to make a list) While your in Champaign/Urbana you have to check out Slot and Wing (where Rc cars go to die) they have about the bext selection of out of date stuff around but, be prepared to dig thru bins to find what you want and dont go looking for hopups for your axial...they prolly wont have that (too new) but, if you want a body they dont make any more or a Brand New Bo-link Legends car (NIB) thats your place.

Your place looks like it has some good offerings for 2.2's and scale rigs, maybe not so much for Supers. Looks like you have put a lot of work into the concrete portions. I like the elevation changes.
