There is one i go to all the time in Round Lake. It is at a park that also has a skate park, bmx track, and basketball courts. I went there today and it was packed. Everyone there is really nice and helpful if your a beginner or not. I forgot the cross streets but i'll look them up. There is also one in Winthrop Harbor called "The Track" and that is an indoor carpet track. They race Short Course trucks on Friday nights

Yes they did. The last big race on November 1st was $20 and they had some prizes and other great stuff. They only charged that much the first time around because it went to a charity for kids. The track is always free to drive at unless its a race day, i think the season is over. Maybe they will have one more but i don't know yet.
