Bad news.

Hey guys, I found out today that I will not be able to attend iHobby this year. My brother is getting married that week in florida. I was hoping to be back friday but the wife layed down the law and said saturday.
Then I got the guilt trip of how I can just abandon them and fly home early by myself. It's not going to go my way no matter what lol

Just posting up to see if anyone wants to step up into my co-volunteer position of running the show with Jeff.

It was a ton of fun last year and was really excited to be doing it again but I really shouldn't. I'll still hold my end of the deal if no one wants to. I just didn't want to get so involved it pisses me off in the end lol

If your interested let me know.

Filling Addicted shoes will be a big job. There is design work for the course, lots of building and then hauling to and from the show. Then there is having to be there for several days... last yr I was there for 6 1/2 days and I dont think I can do that this year.

Yea, all that plus keeping the show running smooth. Organizing the events, comp, and the crowds. Also not being affraid to drop a few dollars on materials at the last minuite.

A few dollars??? We are keeping this years show simple and cheap, I'm not dropping $600+ into it this year plus sponsor money plus your money. We are reuseing the concrete and building a water trough and a big climb platform... that's it!

Biggest issue I see with you not being able to help... getting it there and home. And I don't think I will have the vacation time this yr that I was able to take last yr so might need someone to cover a few days.

Yea, I was planning on keeping the cost down also. The only think I forgot to mention Is getting sponsors. Last year I contacted over 50 companies.

couldn't have done it last yr without you guys "thumbsup" This year you need to bring a banner that's small enough we can hang it at the booth instead of half way across the floor :flipoff:

I'm actually planning to start working on the course this weekend. I pulled the jig off the car so I have some left over wood I thought I would try to build a suspension bridge with.

We were glad to help.
