Ok, I got a revised version of my last 4link mount design. This one has more axle support like a truss. It will be mounted inbetween the shock mount and the axle and run stealth style behind the axle tube and bolt on as seen. Also, there should be another little spacer to bolt on behind the other side shock mount to evenly space them. This is all I have so far. I think black delrin would be perfect for this Invisi-Link. http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/1...7592602686.jpg |

Now I am playing with some tube work designs, tire choice and colors, interior choices and lighting. Thinking of Staying close to what comes with the kit for tube work but adding a roll bar/light bar. Thinking Baja MTZs for tires, Team3Six seats and custom floor and console (comes with a dash) and a full set of Chaotic Crawler lights including a light bar. Colors I am clueless about right now.I want something new. I think I will do some research on old Hilux and see what Factory Colors there were. |

I always like this paint scheam, especially in red, black... and the white one is ok. I did not like the blue version they had. |

That is a LOT of styrene work to turn a Gen 2 into a Gen 3. SOmeone on Scale4X4RC did it, really cool, but maybe out of my capabilities.

I really want a 1989 4Runner I almost had one a few years back... It had the turbo motor but a manual trans. I was working on a deal, then had to pay an attorney. When I gathered the cash again, the guy had sold it. Then I found the new buyer, he was trying to flip it. The SOB wanted twice what he paid (I almost paid) for it! |

I think I found my color. May also go with a shell on this one. This could be the alternative There were not a lot of color choices in 1983, Orange, Red, Blue, Black, Yellow, White and Bronze Last edited by neillarson; 01-26-2012 at 10:31 AM. |

I might have to do a TF2 a little different, with a F150 Blackfoot body! http://img576.imageshack.us/img576/6...7603369484.jpg |

I havent looked at it very closely. Ill have to measure it to see how itll fit the TF2.. Rc4wd has all the dimensions of that truck posted up so, itll be pretty easy.

Buy a TF2 and sell the body, I bet you can make a small fortune off it. I like the detail better than the Tamiya and the kind of drop bed is nice.

hey guys, are any of you interested in something like a swap meet type of thing? i need to purge a ton of stuff thats cluttering up my house, but i just dont want to bother with posting it all up and shipping it and all that crap. i figure maybe packing some boxes and rummaging through each others stuff and make offers/trades may be something other people are interested in. maybe come spring time? spring cleaning swap meet? |
