Dayum Chris! Haha Yeah.. I want a Yeti but, I'm attempting to save for a down payment on a truck. Someone came and looked at my 4runner today.. Seemed pretty interested. Said they are going to get money together in the next day or two. We'll see. That combined with what I have save should be a pretty decent down payment. I still have cold feet though.. I'm a little scared. It'd be the biggest investment I've ever made. Yikes. |

so my stock ae2 esc got fried even though I plasti dipped it and I bought a wp 1040 cause it was cheap. Well now I'm not too happy with it. It will lag going into reverse and has low power while backing up. so I will most likely buy another esc by this coming weekend. Should I buy another ae-2 and put it in a waterproof box or get a Castle Creations SV3? also i bought a steering servo and am unimpressed but i only paid 20$ for that so suprise suprise. so im looking to buy something else around 45$ that can be waterproofed? thanks in advance for any advice! |

Id look into seeing if that 1040 has instant reverse. Ive never heard of that esc but a reverse delay and limited reverse speed could just be a setting you can change to instant reverse and 100% reverse speed. Im obviously looking fwd to the yeti. Got a wp mmp, a wp 3300pro4, and wp hitec waiting for it. |

The sv3 is good if your running brushed and up to 3s. I just put one of our hobby town house brand servos in my jeep it has 300 oz of tq it works ok no comparison to the trucks I have hitec 7950's in though. A good servo is a good place to spend money.

The more I see about the Yeti, the more I want one. I'm thinking about getting one. If we get enough people with them, we will have to start a U4 class!

I run it brushed. And 3s. Works great. Had it submerged a bunch. Keeps ticking. True it will run a sensorless brushless motor. When you decide you need a go fast. I also have a couple hpi wp15. I think that's the one. Brushed, waterproof, and will run 3s upto a 17t brushed motor Drag brake, adjustable reverse. And can be had for dirt cheap. I got my last one for 15$
