I'm disappointed in you Trey. Get the proper equipment! How many beers did you put back before that happened!? Is the Bird ok!? LOL what the hell am I saying? I'm not even your REAL dad. The Yeti is fun.. It's a ripper on 3s right out of the box. I don't like the tires it comes with though. I'm going to look at a 4runner today.. It's a black 99 with 106k. We'll see. Atleast I already know its a good vehicle and i'll own it plus have money left for a hot rod for next season. Lil' Ricky couldn't commit to the car payment! |

trey that sucks. id like to see how well sillyputty works in one of these yetis. i tried it ages ago on a tlt and when trying to crawl it would still unload. i can also imagine on high speed low traction areas the diff going the other way and being too stiff to unload, causing a bunch of understeer and traction rolling. but im just speculating... the tamiya highlift axles used a screw to lock the diffs that you could access through a plug in the axle case. i wish somebody would do something similar for this rig. i dont need it to be remotely activated, but if i knew for certain i was taking it to the beach or a bmx track it'd be nice to open up the diff. or just a burly ball differential that could be hella tightened up through the outdrive. like the old thorp clodbuster diffs. gonna put on some stink. what version you guys like better? i cut the back off because i couldnt stand the look of the fins, but now i kinda wish i hadnt. crappy rtr body so its not a huge loss, and will look alot better once i get the spare tire mounted back there... |

i like #1 better but #2 is a hell of alot easier to mask off with the tape i have... so i think its gonna be 2. john its a really cool rig. its very much a beefy huge twinhammers. i never saw it crawl but like i say id like to see how much better it is or isnt compared to a locker. |

Nothing.. It was a beater! 220k miles! But, I thought I wanted a Tacoma at the time so, need that for down payment money. Ultimately, I decided I didn't want 5yrs of $400 payments so, I can buy toys now still. Get off my back!!! |

I always liked that model. So, I just had a thought... We should all go to Rose Point Park (in PA) in Sept... end of season gtg. The drive really isn't that bad. |

the difference between silly putty and super thick grease is that silly putty is non newtonian. it will actually lock up under shock. that diff is going to be under alot more shock when youre blasting it full throttle than it is trying to get over a bunch of rocks all technical. | |

Was at Schaumburg HTU today picking up parts for my 1/6 Jeep, they said they ordered 2 Yeti's only received 1. It was sitting on the counter, said they had 5 calls on it, but no one came to get it yet.
