finally yanked the axles out of timmy. what i thought was a bad seal ended up being a grenaded bearing. |

We should try this shade-tree method. Bash it against a piece of wood until it comes off. Except you dont have a monster backing plate so we'll have to attach something to get a better handle on it. Either that or we'll have to fabricated a part like this guy did to press it off. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LYg6z5coNmk ..or you can buy one but, they're pricey. Then we can pound it back on like this.. The hardest part is getting it off.. After that its smooth sailing. To start, I suggest bashing it against wood maybe with a touch of heat for persuasion.. But, have seals ready cause we'll probably burn em' up. Theres one behind the bearing I think so, it'll have to be changed before the new bearings go on. |

i got the tool and rebuild kit with seals and bearings. if the backing plates were on i would try the smack method. i might use the tool and see if i can hammer the bearings off, but i dunno... with my luck ill mess something up. you got a press rick? |

Not in the garage but, I have one at the shop and my buddy works at a shop nearby that also has one. Edit: Bring it by any time and we'll get it figured out.

Or you could bolt the blue beast to it and give it a few smacks against a piece of wood and see what happens. Then its as easy as using that round piece and hammering the new bearing back on. Might be able to do it without a press. Just dont forget to take the retaining clip off.

Anyone checked out Vaterras new Rtr Blazer ? Seems like a pretty solid truck for a Rtr. It's always interesting to hear your guys opinions on new trucks.
