I feel like I've lost some steam... not really into finishing any of the trucks. I haven't even mailed Rick my Dinky case... |

| Re: NIRC. Chit Chat It's the weather, it's frigid outside, can't enjoy outside activities unless your bundled up to the point of being uncomfortable, (unless you're into skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, golf), you have cabin fever, and get tired of working on the same projects. I started working on some scale stuff for my outdoor railroad a couple weeks ago, and just don't have the initiative to keep working on it. Lately all I want to do is come home, sit in front of the computer and TV, suck down some brews for a while and hit the sack.

I'm thinking about picking up a 3D printer. Some cool things are happening in that world and I like cool things too! Looking at a Robo 3d R1.. Under $1k.. Seems like a pretty capable beginner type machine. I don't have a lot of experience with 3d software but, I have access to SolidWorks at work that I could explore and there is a ton of free software available out there. Also all of the file sharing websites where I could print things that others have designed. I don't know.. I'm thinking it'll be a fun toy to play around with and potentially make cool stuff. I know Johnny attempted it a while back but, there was a problem with whatever machine he ended up getting so, it didn't work out. Do I have that right? I know you're good with the computer side of things.. I'm good with engineering and hands on stuff but, not so much with computer software but, they seem to be making things awfully user friendly with these things. |

Yeah and it would probably look better if the spare was somewhere else but I don't want it taking up space in the bed. The bumper and sliders are both All-Pro. | |

I believe they get a % of everything sold. I don't know much about Mac's but you could get Cinema 4D... Google SketchUp might have a Mac version |

Check into Modo, it's an excellent modeling program that can still do lighting and animation. Or you could go the engineering route and get Pro E, CAD, Rhino or SolidWorks. |
