2016 Yamaha XSR900 Neo-Retro Cafe Racer Motorcycle Review | EICMA 2015: The Yamaha FZ-09 gets a killer restyling job.

I'm digging it.

That looks pretty nice zero! There are a couple cool bikes that showed up at EICMA. I really like the MT-01 even though the front looks a little like a transformer. BMW has a badass retro 900 standard that I like even better. The standard/naked style has always been cool.

Looks good Todd, build your main frame with rod and do supports with tube. Not sure I'm following the second photo.

I'm cutting that bed up and using the bed sides. Doing dovetailed bed sides. Learned mounting tabs are a pain in the ass. Thinking next time around I will do solid bar on the bottom of the hoop instead of 2 single tabs.

anything that could bash on a rock in a rollover i wouldnt use brakeline on. especially on something like those downtubes.

long spans of brakeline will dent pretty easy under the right circumstances. if you are using stainless or dom tubing forget what i said. ;)

Looks good. I typically fish eye the end of the tube and braze them right into the next. A chainsaw sharpening bit for a dremel will do that well.

It's a little hard to see here but you can get an idea of the result.

mcmaster has 3/16" carbide bits for the dremel that never wear like the dremel chainsaw bits do. they are a tad more aggressive and want to jump out of the fishmouth more than the chainsaw bits but if you are carefull its not a huge deal. it will save you ALOT of money.

i think ive spent more on dremel cutoff wheels and chainsaw sharpening bits over the years than i think i have tube and harris.

Looks good. But remember you will not get truggy points with all that frame rail behind the cab

If you care about that sort of thing
