You can pick up some pretty decent laptops with Win7 on them for pretty cheap (i.e. 400ish), but of course the display aint all that and most of them are stuck with 1360x768. Dude, you are insane!

My shop is absolutely trashed. I have parts of 4 projects laying all over. Can't even get to my drawing table where I do my airbrushing and all my styrene work. The electronics table is buried under the bed of my red Hilux and the 1/6 Willys body. My assembly bench is so covered in parts that you can't see the Cow catcher under it. My welding table is piled high with the welder standing in front of my Photo Booth blocks me from staking pics. My saw/drill press table is blocked by materials, aluminum, steel and delrin. I actually think I am to the point that I can't do anymore work without taking a weekend to do nothing but clean. The point of decision is coming up in the next 2 months on my retirement so I might just pack up the multi axle project and the Willys project and generally start putting away stuff I am not using. I realized I must have 50 bottles of Polycarb paint for my airbrushes that I will probably never use since I don't use soft bodies much anymore. The couple I have are single color so rattle cans work. Maybe I should ebay them as a lot. Anybody need cheap radios for kids projects? I think I have 4 x 2 channel AM radios with receivers. I found a use for my micro receivers from my planes, they work great for making steering wheels turn and heads turn (both planned for the Willys) so I was able to trash that TX and RX along with the rest of my plane parts and help parts. I still have that Craftsman Band saw laying around, needs a blade and some cool blocks but it runs fine. Someone had said they wanted it, but don't remember who. Too big for me to carry though. Trey, I have your scroll saw and will bring it this weekend if I can be sure my wife will be OK while I am gone. I have to have a neighbor available to help her if she needs anything. |

Sounds good! I still need to figure out the variable speed control so I can slow it down and use it on Styrene. Working with this clod has been pretty cool. I like the custom styrene stuff. It takes a while but it's fun!

cut and almost shut. The fourth one turned out the best. I need to trim a little more off the tread before I seal it up. I'm using 3 different formulas of CA glue. The "regular" tire glue to tack the pieces together. The rubber one to seal it all And the gap filling one... to fill in the gaps. Although, this one doesn't actually have any gaps. |

its kinda surprising how well the glue works. i had to patch up some pinch-cut beads on my cut and shuts, only had regular jet quick dry ca but it seems to be working. we'll see sunday... once the tire is in the beadlock it seems to clamp it down pretty good. i got a new set being made, but with the ECC going on i have to wait till that is over. i really wish i would have had time to get a more unique c3 ttc done besides the wraith. |

I'm looking at this upcoming comp season as just a testing/tuning season for the TTC series... I don't expect to win any comps considering I'm driving 2 new, untested rigs, I just want to make sure Hera and C2 Melons are ready for the TTC's!

I think if you want the extra points, you do have to run the same rig in both. But, if you don't care about the possibility of 10 extra (or something like that) points... then it doesn't really matter. You can run the Wraith this season and Lemonade in the TTC... but, if you win first place in this season with the Wraith, the points can not carry over to next seasons TTC with Lemonade. EDIT: The first TTC is in August or something...

I regret having to miss this one cause I was looking forward to whacking on Melons with my Mog :-) and I am real interested in seeing how the Wraith runs with the 13T and 3S. But family comes first. so have fun all. |
