I am thinking of this for my next build. Scratch built body, 1.55s or 1.9s on a MattZilla chassis.

Well stopped by the track and by 3pm the sign said "Closed". The sign says 10am-close Racing on Sundays. So not sure if they were closed already, or just are closed.

So looks like we'll have to go up to Lake in the Hills if they have practice/free track usage on Sunday.

I took the Slash for a spin. 16t pinion, not sure of spur, vxl and 3s.
I ran the old, hard dry rotted Anaconda's from my Rustler... fit no problem.
It handles pretty good, not as good as DL's and it's fast but no wheelies.

And then I blew the rear diff.

It looks like it's been sitting a long time. The MIP's all need cleanup and at least 1 diff rebuild. The shocks seem ok and the front end is not too bad... has a little slop but so did my Rustler w/all new parts.

The dude included a SC10 instruction manual!

I'll print out the Slash one tomorrow.
I doubt I'll make a track day next Sunday... unless I run 95% front wheel drive. You can hold back the rear tires with a finger now. It was working and was pretty fun for the 10 mins I got to run it.

Just ordered 2 sets of stainless steel lockers from RCP. The 2 tabs on the axail HD lockers snaped right off, plastic housing looked a little deformed but should hold up already have new axail HD lockers on hand so i might as well use them just to keep it running. Also found shock retainer for poncho.

You sure it just doesn't need to be taken apart and re-oiled? Gear diffs are pretty hard to destroy even on 3S...

As to no wheelies; do you have a center diff in it? That would be probably one of the reasons.

No, I'm not sure about any of it atm, it could just be a mip set screw... right now I'm watching The Fantastic Mr. Fox! I'll take a look at it latter.
