I hope they've got a slipper clutch rebuild kit for the slash...one of the little pads on mine disintegrated. It will still run surprisingly but I'd rather change it out first.

if u still lived down the street id loan ya mine. i gotta say after driving with the diff i think the slipper will be more fun for bashing. ;)

its always good to help turn marshall. it will also give you a much better perspective of the track.

i wish i could go... gonna go to the museum instead. blah!

I am sure they will have one. If I get the EXOs gearing and ESC issue worked out, I will be there.

yup.

I really doubt I'll make it... we're currently at the bar and I haven't even charged lipos... on the plus side, I did get the foffing Bastard running today... it's faster.

Well I got the Revo put back together...if they don't have a slipper for the slash I could maybe run it on the outside track, they claim it's 1/8th friendly. We'll see.

How was the track?

Did everyone have hardcase lipo? I was wondering if it is needed on practice days.

I know race day is a must.

Where?!

And the track was good. Rick's little stamuggy really was hooked up! Made Trey, and especially myself, look sorta silly. Sounds like we all had a ball just driving round and round. Probably broke more crap than we do normally at crawler events!

Neil was there and took some pics while we were on the outside track.

racing today was kick ass.. I'm for sure going back. probably next sunday.

we went around the inside & outside tracks.. next thing ya know, 5 hours went by. I had a lot of fun.

drifting... meh. I don't really think it's "my thing". I much more interested in crawling/scaling and now racing.

What was it about Rick's rig that was so much better?
Shorter wb, shorter shocks, tires, motor...?

It's a good thing I didn't go.
I ran the Slash for about 10 mins and could not touch the motor it was so hot! The esc was also too hot to touch... even the motor wires were frickin hot!

I have a 16t pinion in it, not sure of the spur... guess I should check it.
I know I have an 11t pinion and I think I have a 13t but haven't looked for it yet.

Hera's winch is mounted and working fine and I found a slight bare spot on the FOFF'n Bastards MM esc/rx wires... so maybe it does have a short Zero... it could be making contact with the solder from where I deleted the on/off switch...
anyone have an old mamba max they want to sell?

All in all, a fairly productive rc day.

It sounds fun... how many packs did you need for 5 hrs?
I think I'll need a couple more big mah packs to really enjoy a full day.

Can you run anything there?
Could I run the foff'n bastard?
I just hate driving that far with out a back up.

Thanks for the pics Neil Those pictures are from the outside carpeted area.. I think we came to enjoy the indoor clay track more.
mine is the gray truggy, trey's is the red hooded slash and chris's is the colorful one.. to match his colorful personality. ha!

I had three 3s packs 4400mah, two 2s packs 5000mah.. I used them all and then charged a couple and used those. The cool thing is you can charge while you run.

I'm not sure why my truck was doing so well.. I had blown front shocks with like stock 20w oil. one of my shock shafts pulled out of the rod end (I just screwed it back together) and my shock rod ends kept wanting to pop off the the ball but, I just snapped them back on... and every bearing on the truck became junk throughout the day (I just ordered new bearings from fast eddy with the coupon)
maybe I was just in the "zone" today.
